Research Panel correspondence concerning the publication of a paper by Robinson and Hook, on quaternary long chain acids

Correspondence concerning Robert Robinson and W H Hook, "Method of preparing long chain acids of possible anti-tubercular activity containing a quaternary carbon atom" (includedin the file in draft). After consideration by the Patents Sub-Committee, which took the view that the process disclosed in the paper was verification of a process previously predicted (and that therefore no patent protection was feasible), publication was permitted.
