About this work

Description

A view from the hill of Parvati in the city of Pune (Poona). The temples are Hindu and form a cluster of Vishnu, Shiva, Parvati and Kartikswamy. The temples were built and consecrated in the 1750s in the reign of Balaji Bajirao Peshwa (1740-1761) who was the Prime Minister and de facto head of the Maratha empire
