Black and white reproduction of a plant specimen described as "Cinchona micrantha (Ruiz and Pavon). Type specimen, with Pavon label". The handwritten annotations are by Spanish botanist José Antonio Pavón y Jiménez (1754-1844). The specimen was possibly reproduced as part of the facsimiles lent by The British Museum (Natural History) and exhibited in <i>Malaria section of the international celebration and exhibition : three hundredth anniversary of the first recognized use of cinchona by Europeans, 1630-1930</i> hosted by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum in 1930. The specimen is listed as exhibit no. 927 in the souvenir catalogue, and is not held by Wellcome Collection.
