Scrap-book containing newspaper and journal cuttings, lecture leaflects, invitations to functions and meetings, programmes and greeting cards.

Subjects covered are: general health of the nation including Cantlie's views on the causes of physical degeneration of the English, health benefits of kilts for boys and men, personal and domestic hygiene and 'physical jerks' for elderly men; tropical diseases and medicine; first aid, ambulance dogs and the Royal Army Medical Corps (Volunteers) London companies; Sun Yat Sen's stay in London in 1905, when he was wanted by the Chinese government as a dangerous revolutionary; devastation of the German post-War economy.

Much of the ephemera is generated by Cantlie's membership of the Caledonian Society of London, Aberdeen University Club of London and the London Morayshire Club.

Also contains order of service for Sir Henry Irving's funeral, 20 Oct 1905 [Cantlie reviewed his book Japanese Physical Training [Jiu-Jitsu] in 1904], and The Book Plate Vol 1 No 2, the journal of the "Odd Volumes" Society of Hong Kong, 27 Feb 1895.
