Reproduction of a letter to John Eliot Howard (1807-1883) from Henry Waterfield, dated 14 December 1878, and stamped by the India Office. The reproduction is possibly from the manuscripts and documents from the India Office, lent by Howard & Sons, Ltd., Ilford, London, and exhibited in Malaria section of the international celebration and exhibition : three hundredth anniversary of the first recognized use of cinchona by Europeans, 1630-1930 hosted by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum in 1930. The manuscripts and documents are listed as exhibit no. 1161C in the souvenir catalogue.
