About this work
Description
The Physiological Society is keen to raise the profile of physiology and an important part of its work is supporting the teaching of physiology at all levels, from school through to postgraduate:
(i) It works in partnership with school teachers to provide practical sessions and resources for schools;
(ii) It has a specific membership category, events and prizes for undergraduates.
(iii) Postgraduates and recently qualified postdoctoral workers can become Affiliate Members and have access to symposia, training workshops and careers sessions.
The Society produces publications and resources for those studying and those teaching physiology in schools and universities. It also lobbies government and other organisations on issues relevant to its Members and promotes awareness of physiology in the media.
