Description

Photograph of two illustrations from an unidentified 14th century manuscript on alchemy, held by the Albertina Museum Library, Vienna. The first illustration depicts a still for the water of life with scroll above containing inscription. The second illustration underneath depicts a swan and it's signets. Another photograph of this image was accessioned by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum on 26th August 1935 (PHO 3790). Related images: M0007060, M0007061.
