Description

Reproduction of the title page from Chifflet [Chifletius], Jean-Jacques (1588-1660): Pulvis febrifugus orbis Americani ... ventilatus ratione, experientia, auctoritate Louvain [Lovanii], 1653. The title page was possibly reproduced as as part of the printed books lent by the Linnean Society, London for Malaria section of the international celebration and exhibition : three hundredth anniversary of the first recognized use of cinchona by Europeans, 1630-1930, an exhibition hosted by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum in 1930. The printed book is listed as exhibit no. 187 in the souvenir catalogue.
