<p>Novelty gift promoting Pheasant Margarine, probably in the 1920s. Similar to free gifts in British childen's weekly comics through to the 1980s (e.g., the Whizz Bang, given away with issue #1 of The Beezer in 1956). When folded, held high and the arm brought down swiftly, the paper backing snaps out with a loud cracking noise.</p>
