Reproduction of the top right quarter of a map of America in 1648 by Johannes Blaeu, or Joan Blaeu (1596-1673). The reproduction is from the map lent by the Royal Geographical Society, London, and exhibited in Malaria section of the international celebration and exhibition : three hundredth anniversary of the first recognized use of cinchona by Europeans, 1630-1930 hosted by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum in 1930. The map is listed as exhibit no. 434 in the souvenir catalogue, and is not held by Wellcome Collection. Related images: M0002196, M0002197, M0002199
