Reproduction of a photograph showing skulls with evidence of trephining. The skull in figure A is male and appears to have had trephining surgery in two places (front and right) and is from the prehistoric fort Cinco Cerros in Peru. The skull in figures B, C and D is female and from and St. Damian in Peru and from the Aymara people. This image has a duplicate reference but they are unrelated.
