About this work

On the first fly-leaf is an inscription by Dr. Frederick William Cock [1858-1943], written and initialled by him, stating that this work was given to him by Munk's daughters, Beatrice and Florence, 21st February, 1933.: it also mentions that the work was 'the author's own copy with his notes'. Dr. Cock continues with some remarks on the character of the illness of King James I, which he thinks was 'a mixed case of malaria and dysentery'. Produced in Exeter.
