<p>Shows one of the types of British bus which had an open platform at the back. Passengers could jump off or on to the platform while the bus was still moving. They were replaced in London between 1982 and 2005, and subsequently from summer 2016, with buses having exit and entrance doors that were closed while the bus was in motion. The bus behind has the distinctive radiator of the type known as RT. The man stepping off the bus is the designer, Robin Day</p>
