Henry Cyril Paget, 5th Marquess of Anglesey (1875-1905) turned the chapel of the family home Plas Newydd into a theatre, where he performed a wide variety of roles, both in and out of drag

Lettering

Interior of the Marquis of Anglesey's theatre An inscription on the verso by Marion Wykes attributes the painting in the photograph to her aunt. It was painted by Charlotte Cox on commission from Paget and Wickens.
