Description

Problems of the peripheral circulation: cyanosis, pallor, capillary haemorrhages etc. Vasomotor collapse ('medical shock') and its intravenous treatment. Dangers of intravenous (also in arteries and elsewhere) infections, including dangers of blood-transfusion (and the transmission of diseases). The whole subject of blood transfusion, with fatal case of Mrs Sophie Firth, and transfusion or injection of special (eg placental) bloods and plasmas. Also the whole subject of intracardiac injections for resuscitation--and resuscitation methods. The whole subject of autohaemotherapy, autoserotherapy (see also other collections), and auto-uro-therapy.
