Correspondence primarily between Haldane and Adprint Ltd., publishers, regarding an article written by Haldane for Adprint on the work of J D [John Desmond] Bernal. Includes the following items:

  • Twenty-seven letters between Haldane, Adprint Ltd and J D Bernal's secretary regarding the article.
  • One sheet of information on research being carried out in connection with the Second World War.
  • A bibliography of the work of J D Bernal [4 folios]
  • Article on J D Bernal by a Mr Leslie, forwarded by Leslie's secretary [3 folios]
  • Typescript copy of Haldane's article on Bernal [12 folios]
  • Eight black and white aerial photographs showing bomb damage to Berlin, with descriptions on the reverse of each. Note that these are Air Ministry photographs and therefore Crown Copyright.
  • Also includes original envelopes in which some of the photographs were sent.
