Description
Dr. Mark Porter visits The Royal Marsden hosptial to look at cancer therapies and research. The hospital was the first in the world ot be dedicated to the study and treatment of cancers. It was founded in 1851 by Dr. William Marsden after his wife died of cancer. Porter looks at a new type of radiotherapy - IMRT, at the role genetics plays in who will get cancer, and at potential new drugs such as Herceptin for treating breast cancer.
