Description
The third in a three part series addressing the environmental and human health issues of Africa and their relationship with the continent's fauna and flora. In this programme we hear about the plants of Africa, including Sutherlandia - the cancer bush and Black Wattle, plants which are used in the local treatment of HIV, AIDS and Cancer. Also, Bilharzia - which is on the increase due to over-fishing in Lake Malawi, and the debates over the use of DDT.
