The funeral of the late Major-General Sir Hector Macdonald took place in Dean cemetery, Edinburgh, between six and seven a.m. on Monday, on the arrival of the train bringing the coffin from London. Very few persons beside the relatives of the deceased were present at the brief ceremony, at which the Rev. Dr. Whyte, ... Drawn by F.C. Dickinson. From a sketch by J. Faulds.
