Description

A film explaining sickle cell anaemia using illustrative animation of the behaviour of red blood cells common to several other films made at the same time from the US. There are a number of young people who talk about their experience of sickle cell. Its history and distribution around the World is considered in the context of the slave trade. Its inheritability is described and the difference between carrying sickle cell trait and sickle cell anaemia.
