About this work

Description

"Overspending and getting into debt is no small matter. Spending is something we all have to do as adults - buying groceries, paying for transport and clothes is a necessity for many of us. But in my life, overspending is something I have trouble controlling. When I looked for help online, all the advice seemed to assume I had a job and a supportive family and friends around me as a baseline. Other advice ignored how living on welfare benefits can affect the way I spend. I have so little money available, I shouldn't be spending it on anything beyond the essentials should I? This zine contains my experiences and some strategies that have worked for me. Even if our paths and backgrounds are different, I hope you can find something of use here. I'm not telling anyone to stop spending altogether or never give yourself a treat, but rather to have in mind: Do I really need that?"--From Introduction.
