About this work

Description

First day cover envelope issued by the Royal Mail Group Ltd. for stamps issued on the 8th of January 1987. The design shows the red hand of Ulster on a star under a crown. In this instance no stamps have been used. The envelope was used on the 7th January 1987 and bears the cancellation stamp: AIDS, don't die of ignorance. It contains a 'stiffener' card which gives information about definitive stamps for Scotland.
