Description
The picture shows veterans in the Siegesalle, Berlin, a popular promenade lined with nineteenth-century statues of mediaeval and modern rulers of Prussia and Brandenburg. It is now in W. Berlin and the statues have been removed. The statue depicted is probably of King Wilhelm Frederick IV Prussia, by Begas
The veterans depicted are a private of the 6th Provincial Company and a sergeant of the Life Guards
