Lebert, Hermann (1813-1878)

Ueber eine neue Art von Scorpion, Scorpionella Mengii-Lebert. Author's holograph MS. Illustrated with 9 carefully drawn pen sketches of the scorpion and its parts, which are signed 'Dr. Baer fec[it] [18]74'. The drawings are probably by Dr. Carl Ernst von Baer [1792-1876], the morphologist.

The author obtained his MS. at Zürich in 1834, and was professor of pathology at this university in 1846. He was later professor of clinical medicine at Breslau.
