About this work
Description
A report about Britain's ambulances, particularly focused on whether or not a 999 call will get you the help of a paramedic or an emergency medical technician. The medical technicians are not able to give medication or able to make clinical decisions so should not be relied upon solely to deal with emergency calls deemed critical. Various members of the public tell stories about how this system has failed them. Ambulance staff also speak out, particularly as the emergency medical technician is about to be replaced by an emergency care assistant who will have less medical capabilities than the technicians.
