Description

The "Galilee skull" was excavated in Zuttiyeh Cave (Mugharet el-Zuttiyeh), in Wadi Amud in eastern Galilee by F. Turville-Petre in 1925, and was published in 1927 with an anatomical report by Sir Arthur Keith. It was thought to be the first Neanderthal skull found in Asia
