1 volume 90 ll. 8vo. 25 x 151/2 cm. Unbound. Written on rectos only: the folding table 41 x 65 cm., contains a list of the copies of the 'Regimen' in the possession of the compiler.

Purchased 1911.

The author has been termed the 'Father of Ovariotomy' and qualified at Edinburgh in 1823. After some years of practice in Ashton-under-Lyne, in 1839 he moved to Manchester, where he made his first ovariotomy in 1842. He was also a keen archaeologist, geologist and numismatist. [Cf.
