December 1st is World AIDS Day, this programme examines the current situation. Neil Dickson, BBC Health Correspondent talks to Professor Jonathan Weber, Head of AIDS Research at St Mary's Hospital, London, who tells him about the direction of the latest research. The programme then examines the issue of public awareness of AIDS and government funding, and whether or not government committment is lessening.
