About this work
Description
In the UK, every 3 minutes someone has a stroke. While most strokes affect people over 65, it can happen at any age, even in children. It is the major cause of severe disability and over a quarter of a million people live with stroke-induced problems. This programme looks at ways in which our understanding and treatment of stroke can be improved - plus how rehabilitation works and what we can do to avoid becoming at risk of having a stroke are discussed.
