1 volume 2 bl. ll. + 293 ff. + 4 bl. ll. 4to. 23 × 181/2 cm. Original quarter-calf binding. Very neatly written on the rectos only. Ff. 264-293 contain the beginning of the 'Lectures on Surgery'.

Purchased at Sotheby's 5/3/1935, Lot 385.

Ownership note

Inside the upper cover is an inscription: 'This book was the property of W[illiam] Brougham Monkhouse, Surgeon to his Majesty's Bark 'Endeavour' in 1768/69/70, dying at Bavaria in November, and was Bo[ugh]t by W[illiam] Perry who succeeded him'.
