A change of mind. Part 5, Mother/daughter, mother/son.

The fifth in a 6-part series about psychoanalysis which features case studies of patients and their therapists. This part looks at motherhood and begins with 'Betty: A mother's story' in which single parent Betty talks about her relationship with her daughter and participates in a group therapy session run by Susie Orbach and Luise Eichenbaum. Secondly is 'Tony: A son's story' in which a man discusses how his relationship with his mother has affected his relationship with his wife - we see him undergo group therapy with Jenner Roth. Thirdly, 'Alison: A daughter's story' is about a young woman's attraction to 'the wrong kind of men' - we see her undergo group therapy with Orbach and Eichenbaum.
