This publication accompanies the exhibition 'Flesh' held at York Art Gallery, 23 September 2016 - 19 March 2017.

A collaboration between York Museums Trust and the University of York's Department of Art History, exploring the depiction of flesh in art.

Exhibition included a series of Japanese watercolours from the Wellcome Library Collection: Kusōzu, Wellcome Library no. 766666i; and a chalk drawing by Landseer, Wellcome Library no. 576330i.
