    CHAPLAIN’S REPORT. County and City Asylum, Powick, Near Worcester. March 31st, 1916. To the Committee of Visitors. Mr. Chairman and Gentlemen, I have the honour of submitting to you the Chaplain’s Annual Report. As my appointment only covers the last five months, I can but give the main facts of the Chaplain’s work. The work of visiting the Wards has been I hope to the comfort and encouragement of the Patients, who have shown much appreciation. The Church Services on Sunday are heartily and rever¬ ently rendered, and I have been struck by the marked attention paid, both in the Services and during the Sermon. A debt of gratitude is due to the Choir for their voluntary and helpful service. The average attendance of the Patients at the Sunday Services is 570, and on Wednesday morning 370. Holy Communion is celebrated once a month for the Patients with an average attendance of 45, and for the Staff twice a month with an average attendance of 30. During the past year there have been 68 interments in Cemetery. The number of Books issued from the Library has been 740.
