Benny Watmore and John Schollar, from the National Centre for Biotechnology Education at the University of Reading, present a series of experiments that can be used in schools as a way of bringing biotechnology into the classroom. They make a microbial fuel cell, show enzymes in action and demonstrate how the lambda DNA kit works.
