Description

The first item on the programme is about The Survivors Poetry movement, now 15 years old. The Arts Council are no longer funding it so discuss the movement and its therapeutic benefits, Claudia is joined by poet Joe Bidder and professor Femi Oyebode who is teaching doctors of mental illness. The second item is about Victorian medical asylums. Why is it that so many more schizophrenics commit suicide today in comparison to a hundred years ago? The final item is about fear, phobia and identity and includes new research into a drug which might help alleviate phobias.
