Dr. Pritchard's son, Mr. Charles Pritchard, presented his father's unpublished work to the Wellcome Institute in October 1983.
Biographical note
Pritchard was a much respected paediatrician and pioneer of infant feeding techniques who published several works including Physiological Feeding of Infants. He qualified from St. Mary's, Paddington in 1892 and went on to become physician to the St. Marylebone General Dispensary where he initiated the first infant welfare clinic in London. He was Medical Director of the Infants Hospital in Vincent Square 1922-35 and later attached as paediatrician to Queen Charlotte's. In 1934 he was President of the British Paediatric Association.
