Hippuric acid crystals

Crystals of hippuric acid, an organic acid breakdown product of benzoate and toluene. It is found in the urine of humans and many herbivores. The presence of higher than normal levels of hippuric acid in the blood or urine can indicate that a patient has been sniffing glue.
