Talecoat was created in a series of writing and textile workshops hosted by Erica Crompton and Lucy Lilley to help give disabled and isolated people a boost of self-esteem by showing-off their talents in the community by exploring their memories of clothing. The featured 'Tale coat' was also made in the sessions. Both zine and coat were exhibited at a cheese festival in Caerphilly in July 2008.
