Description

The "Argot" was an organized association of beggars, whose head, the "Coesre, Roi des Truands", resided at Paris. Members earned their living by simulating various diseases, so rousing the pity of the population

The beggars include women moving with the aid of crutches, men with amputated limbs and children on wheelbarrows
