Description
Scanning electron micrograph of organ of Corti,
guinea pig cochlea. The lowermost row of cells are
the inner hair cells, which are situated towards
the inside of the 'turns' of the cochlea. These
are linked by a row of tunnel rods to three rows
of outer hair cells, with Deiters cells in
between.
