A comprehensive look around the Leprosy Research and Training Centre in Southern India, near Madras which began work in 1955. This is one of Asia's foremost leprosy hospitals. The work of the hospital is shown, including the out-patient clinic, the pharmacy, the prosthetic department, the histopathology laboratory and the mouse footpad laboratory. Explains leprosy case detection and shows the work of the hospital's training unit and its video unit which produces training tapes.
