About this work
Description
In this controversial documentary, the broadcast of which was delayed for almost 12 months due to legal issues, Sarah Barclay reports on the 'sub-optimal care' given to women with breast cancer at Bradford NHS Trust in the 1990s. John Philip, Director of the local breast screening clinic in Bradford, became concerned that women on his database were not getting radiotherapy as part of their treatment. Despite his making this information available to managers in the Trust, little was done to alleviate the problem leading to the question: does your chance of surviving cancer depend on where you live?
