"Nystagmus: Clips to illustrate the following types of nystagmus: horizontal jerking, pendular, down-beat, up-beat, rotatory circular, see-saw, convergence or retraction, rebound, periodic alternating and latent (6 min.) / Periodic alternating nystagmus: A long sequence with a time clock illustrating the periodic change in the direction of the quick phase of the nystagmus (2 min.) / Optokinetic nystagmus: This short film, prepared for Dr. Hallpike, demonstrates rotation of a striped drum in front of a subject to elicit optokinetic nystagmus which is well shown (2.5 min.) / Vestibular function: The anatomical connections between the labyrinths, the brain stem and the muscles of the eye are illustrated by animated diagrams. Th etechnique of cold and warm caloric tests and the resultant nystagmus and past-pointing are shown. The effect of rotation is also demonstrated. The film was made in the USA and approved by the American College of Surgeons (14 min.) / Vestibular exercises: The effect upon gait of vestibular damage 9trauma, streptomycin, Menieres disease and mastoid surgery) is shown. This is followed by a demonstration of the rehabilitation exercises devised by Sir Terence Cawthorne. The beneficial effect of these up on three patients is illustrated (11 min.)"
