About this work

Description

Jill Saward, victim of the highly publicised Ealing Vicarage rape, talks to Jenni Murray about the attack and about her treatment by the press, the police and the court. She appeals for a reassessment of the emotional effects of such attacks on the victims. The psychological effects of rape are not accepted as evidence in British courts and the judge summed up Miss Saward's ordeal as "not so very great"
