    Peter Davantes. He is mentioned as a bookseller at Basle, circa 1572. His device is thus given by Silvestre. John Schroter. He printed at Basle from 1597. His device, as given by Stockmeyer and Reber, is a crown, with a legend above. Dr. Bernoulli says he has not found this device on any of Schroter’s books.
