Copy 1 Note: On the verso of the last leaf before Index has been pasted a cutdown engraving by Bartholomaeus Sprang and J. Goltzius dated 1585 showing Adam and Eve standing by the Tree of Knowledge. The illus. and t.p have been coloured by hand, and the coats-of-arms, etc., illuminated. Inserted are 10 water-colour drawings 9 large and 1 small, two of them dated 1586, with descriptions by a contemporary hand.
