Creator/production credits

The authorship of the sculpture is ascribed in the lettering to Rysbrack, but it is elsewhere attributed to Roubiliac. The authorship of the drawing is attributed to Benjamin Haydon in an inscription on the mount ("Newton, by Haydon."): "The drawing differs in style from B.R. Haydon's work, but may be by the hand of one of his pupils" (Burgess, loc. cit.)
