Description
According to his legend, Saint Anastasius was a weaver, fuller and dyer of cloth at Spalato in Dalmatia. He was martyred by decapitation ca. 304. His severed head was transported to Rome, where it was believed to drive away the devil. He was the patron saint of cloth-workers and was invoked against headaches
