About this work

Description

Anthropometry: measurement of height The picture shows schoolchildren in Kerala, India, lined up in height order as part of a school health programme. Height-for-age (HFA) of a sample of children is often used to help assess the nutritional status of a population. The prevalence of low HFA or stunting gives a combined overall measure of long term nutritional, health and socioeconomic status of a community.
