About this work

Description

"This is a zine about the work mad people do for each other: how we love each other in a system that fails us. Mental health service users/survivors exist in a system where we are seen as fundamentally unreliable witnesses to our own lives and needs. The way we care for each other in life and the way we grieve each other in death is shaped by resisting that view of ourselves, the love and the anger it leaves us with. The originals were watercolour, ink pen and silk thread, which have been scanned and printed in booklet form."-- Text provided by zinester.

"Please note this zine references suicide bereavement, but there are no descriptions of suicide methods."-- Text provided by zinester.

"A5 full-colour printed zine reflecting on love and solidarity between mental health service users in the face of systems which treat us as fundamentally unreliable witnesses."-- From zinester's Etsy. https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/1041555172/bumper-mental-health-zines-bundle-7
